About

My name is Emily, I'm an amateur historian with a penchant for reading and a strong interest in monarchies and the nobility. As a result of my passion, I created this blog to share my biographies and knowledge with other captivated parties. This blog specifically profiles royal women from any kingdom or nation, as well as noblewomen or certain members of aristocracy. The women profiled here will not be limited to a certain time period or country. This blog is open to any time or place, as my only purpose is to celebrate the lives of women whose historic legacies have been praised, glorified, twisted, scorned, or forgotten. But no matter how they are viewed today or what they have done, these women are certainly not forgotten.

  1. Dear Emily, I am writing from Genoa (Italy), I am interested in ancient history of my city and especially everything related to the existing relationships, in the eighteenth and twentieth centuries, between the American/English community and the Genoese. I am currently doing a research on the people buried in the part dedicated to the old cemetery.
For your documentation, I send you the link of my blog dedicated to Princess Charlotte of Saxe-Meiningen.
I have uncovered the Charlotte’s grave at Genoa
Princess Charlotte was a member of the House of Saxe-Meiningen and a Princess of Saxe-Meiningen by birth and a member of the House of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and Duchess consort of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg through her marriage to Ernest II, duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg.
